The 11th EASG Conference held in Lisbon from 13th of September – 16th of September 2016 in the InterContinental hotel. Working title was:”Development of the invisible and unknown Research, Responsibilities and Regulation”. There were 120 speakers, academics, policy makers, regulators, scientist, psychiatrists, psychologist, professors, lawyers, attorneys, sociologist and industry representatives and more than 300 participants. Among speakers was Ms. Mirjana Acimovic, Jakta president and Euromat Chair of Social responsibility in Gamimg Committee.

EUROMAT’s SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY EXPERT GROUP – EUROMAT’s workable principles that the industry should promote to strengthen social responsibility in gaming
EUROMAT Social Responsibility Expert Group, established in Barcelona, May 2016 is a follow up to our social responsibility in gaming report Playing Fair which provided a valuable overview of existing industry initiatives on social responsibility and sets out industry principles that EUROMAT members adhere to. The report was promoted in the media and by members of the Social Responsibility in Gaming Committee through bilateral meetings with MEPs and other national stakeholders. Social Responsibility Expert Group will establish EUROMAT’s workable principles that the industry should promote to strengthen social responsibility. Group aim to bring forces and focus not only the industry, but also on distributors, manufactures, and other actors in the field in relation to responsible gaming; “self-regulated body” idea has been expressed with the suggested: “social responsible gaming is the global initiative to improve better players protection”. The one of the initiative of Social Responsibility Expert Group is setting up a EUROMAT foundation– on social responsibility in the future. Concerning the audience to reach out to, it is important to reach out both: authorities and players so that they know the land-based gaming industry – is a responsible industry.
