An international expert conference entitled “Corporate Social Responsibility in games of chance – prevention of pathological gambling and youth” held in Belgrade on 19 May 2015, organized by the representative employers’ associations in the field of games of chance JAKTA, the Union of Employers of Serbia and Euromat – European Federation Brussels

Interdisciplinary conference “Corporate Social Responsibility in games of chance – prevention of pathological gambling and youth” held in Belgrade on 19 May 2015 was attended by over 50 scientific researchers, representatives of legislative and regulatory bodies, NGO representatives, public health, sports, educational and media institutions and representatives of the gaming industry. It was presented 10 lectures and papers with achievements, practically examples and experiences as well as attitudes in the field of social medicine, psychology, psychiatry, politics, law and legislation, games of chance – and all directed towards social responsibility regarding the games of chance.

Conference “Corporate Social Responsibility in games of chance – prevention of pathological gambling and youth” is an important step in the expansion of knowledge, and drawing attention of the entire domestic and international public on the need to be together in mutual cooperation devote themselves to social responsibility in gambling, education, prevention and the protection of players and the youth of the potential adverse impacts.

At the conference, their experience in the treatment of pathological and problem gamblers expressed the doctors of the Institute of Mental Health of Serbia, Special Hospital for Addiction and experience of legislators conveyed Delegate in the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Slovenia. Representatives of the gambling providers from the Croatian Lottery, company Phuket, Mercur Games, associations HUAK, talked about corporate responsibility and the measures that apply in the protection of the players.
This conference is an important step in the expansion of knowledge, and drawing attention of the entire domestic and international public on the need to be together in mutual cooperation and devote themselves to social responsibility in gambling, education, prevention and the protection of players and the youth of the potential adverse impacts.
